Cardiff Grime The people who are speaking in this documentary about grime are the leaders of the group and other members in the band, the interviewer and the narrator. The people who perform the grime songs tell us about their music and what the lyrics mean to them and people who listen to their music. They also speak about the context and culture of grime. In this documentary they show different parts of how people make grime songs to what it’s all about. They talk about the different instruments, clips from famous grime artists. All the sound which is used in the background of the documentary are faded in and out. The directors had recorded all their clips on the streets as they say that grime music comes from the streets and how people are when on the streets. I had was to create a documentary the equipment I would use is a microphone for the best song quality, a recorder to store all the sounds which are recorded from the mic and spare batteries. The target audience from this documentary is young teens who don’t know much about grime and young parents who have never heard of grime songs.

Ethnicity
1. Is ‘white’ an ethnicity? No as it is a race not a ethnicity.
2. What role do the media play in constructing ideas about race and ethnicity? They can decide what to speak about e.g. what race and ethnicity and even positive or negative explanations.
3. Do you make assumptions about certain ethnic groups? No I do not make assumptions.
4. Do you think certain ethnic groups or races are more powerful than others? The way other ethnic groups are bases on the way media portray them, people believe what the media says,  this is called the hypodermic syringe model. So this would make people have the same view as what the media says and what other people think.
5. Do you think about your own ethnicity on a regular basis?
Yes I do think of my own ethnicity on a regular basis.

6. Do you see people who look like you represented in the media? Are these representations prominent and/or accurate? Yes I do see people who are like me represented in the media. Some are represented in a negative way while some in a positive way. This is as some media want to give a negative impact on certain races while others want to give a positive impacts on the others. No these are not prominent as people born in the 21st century have access to all types of media so they would believe what is being out out on the media sources. So if it's something negative people would act negative and follow what the media says as the media would only post negative things about there race or maybe positive things about there race.
