Trailers Premier Pro

I created this by putting together 3 movie trailers. The process took time to get use to as it was something that I haven't done before. I firstly imported the 3 movie trailers I wanted too. Than I put them into different sections on the video editing menu, so it is easier to edit it. Once I edited one correctly I put it onto the first preview line. Than I did the same with the other two videos I had, edited them and then put them into the correct section I wanted it. Than I decided I will mute all 3 trailers and put a song in the background. I did this than I had rasterised the video, so it is into one full flow video than I had to export it to the video quality I wanted and the type of video file. We had to export the video into a mp4 file so it is easier to edit in the future and it was needed so we could upload it onto YouTube and then to put it onto our blog.

Colour and Typography tester for your packaging

What I did to create my colour testers for my packaging is:

Firstly, I picked a few colours which stood out from my mood board than I created a grid on a new page on photoshop. I painted each box one of the colours. This allowed me to see what colours look nice on what background.

One of the colour that I had choose was a tone in the middle of yellow and gold. My second choice was a light red. My third choice was a light blue. My final choice was a dark red. Than I had used a text tool to apply text onto each colour. The colour text was one of the other colours which wasn’t the background colour. The reason why I didn’t use the background colour is because you wouldn’t be able to see the same colour text on the same background colour.

StoryBoarding Practice

For my storyboard practice I decided to use a childhood story which was the three little pigs. When doing this task, I had to think about different camera shots. EG thinking about camera movement. This made me use more of my choice of how I like to take videos. At what points would zooming into the character to moving the camera to the left or right.  The one thing which a negative was the amount of zooming in and out I had on the storyboard. This would have a negative impact on people who have sight problems which can cause dizziness. This could cause confusion for the person looking at my storyboard.

Create 3D test Net layout

For my 3D test Net I had to create the net with exact sizes. Which was 4 boxes down and one of the two in the middle I had to have a square on each size. Than I had to pick a logo to use as a test. I decided to use the Gucci logo as it is a well-known brand in the world. Then I decided to pick two colours which stood out, so I decided to use blue and red. Than I had imported to Gucci logo. Once the Gucci logo was imported I needed to think about how I wanted toe packaging to look like. I also must think about the way the logo was placed so when the cube was put together the logos wouldn’t be all around the place it would face different ways as the cut will be built. So, I had two of the logos the same way one was 90 degrees anti clock wise and one was 180 degrees rotated.

Moodboard - Collage

To create my moodboard, I needed to think about the pictures I was going to apply onto it. The first thing I had thought about was the background which I was going to have I decided on Times Square in NYC. Than I had selected pictures to scatter around the background. This made me think about my product I am creating which was an energy drink. This made me think about different things which go with energy. The first things that I thought about was a car, lightening and the sun. Then I also decided to add a quote onto the side of the moodboard. Than I had to pick 4 colours which I liked from the moodboard and create swatches onto the side of the page. I choose a light-yellow tone, Red, light blue and light red. The reason I choose those colours is because they stood out a lot to me and made me investigate in more detail.

Recreate an ad or magazine cover

The first thing I had researched was the big magazines in the world and the first one that popped up was Forbes. This made me research into Forbes. Once looking at a few magazines made by Forbes I was engaged into it and decided to recreate a Forbes magazine. I had created a Few changed to the Magazine one was I had put a photo I had taken in Low-Key lighting. Than I had created the same font size and Text used by the original Forbes magazines. I had written a few facts about who the person was and the date it was published. I think I could have improved this by adding more information like the original Forbes magazine I had seen.

Creating the logo in Illustrator

The software I had used was Illustrator. I wanted to create a brand name which made people want to try it out. I decided on the name dragon. This gave me the chance to think of a picture and the one picture I thought of was a dragon. So, I had found a picture of a dragon outlined and decided on the colours I would use. The colours were red and black. This would be more eye catching as it is a bright colour. I think it went well as I had put my imagination into use and to see what colours people would want to see on a drink and what type face used as well. To improve I could have used different colours for the drink name rather than the same colour as the logo.

NCIS Los Angles – This show is based in Los Angeles. It’s an American drama, crime show.

SWAT – Is a crime show about a well-trained swat team cracking down on every crime in Los Angeles.

Hawaii five-0 - Is a show based in Hawaii about a group of highly trained police officers which handle the most serious crimes in the state of Hawaii.
